"take a few physics classes and it will clear up." i did high school end exams from physics class, as we had to choose 2 of the classes for graduation tests, and i chose physics as one of them. And since high school i've done quite a few physics calculations for projects, and not a=F/m type, but a bit more complicated. Since you seem to know the physics explanation for clutch starting to slip after 1+ weeks, i'd like to hear it :-/ Clutch is much like a thin brake that would wear out fast if used as a brake. If you press brake and lock up tires, will the discs get worn out by holding the tires locked? Unless there's a spring in clutch that will wear out the clamping force being exposed to extra torque or if the clutch actually slips a little the whole time, even though you cant really see or feel it untill the friction coefficient drops enough to be obvious.
